A reminder that individual photo day is this Wednesday. Information went out through the portal about signing up to receive your order information by e-mail. All photo ordering will be done online this year.
Some students have been bringing in $10 cash or a cheque written out to Maple Ridge Elementary to pay for their planner. For some reason, the portal is having a hard time linking my class to the online payment. Thank you for your patience with this. I am hoping it will be resolved by tomorrow. I would like to begin using the planners with the class by the end of this week.
There will be an information session held by Mr. Rory Payment, the head of the Gr. 6/7 Inquiry Project for the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows School District. There are two information sessions (both will cover the same information) which you may attend through Zoom. I will be sending out a Zoom link through the Portal shortly. The meeting dates are Thursday, September 17 and Tuesday, September 22nd, both beginning at 6:30pm.
We are spending this week reviewing some basic math, reading, and writing skills and completing some assignments that will give me a sense of where the students are in these areas, as well as spending time building community and connections while getting to know one another.
